The Animal
Not just because we like this kid... Not even because his off field personality makes us believe there's hope for the rest of the season... But simply because of this guy's stellar performance on defense on Sunday's make up game with the Cougars... Injured early in the game the Animal quickly got back on the field and still had two of the hardest hits of the game, including popping the ball out of a would be reciever's hands that wouldve easily got up through. Did we mention the smack down he put on the ball just inches away from the wide out as he leaped about 4 feet vert??? Oh yeah, who could forget the interception that gave everyone in the whole stadium a glimpse of hope.
Nick Reimer Executed Perfect Tackling Several Times In The American Seniors Battle With KYS Steelers on Week One Which Earns Him The Defensive MVP Of The Week! The Rookie Lineman Posed A Severe Threat To The KYS Offensive Line Which Was A Ray of Hope In A Nasty Game... Thanks Nick!!!
Make No Mistake, This Dude is The Truth... Everything That We've Thought Or Said About Dennison Was Confirmed By Coach Tim Murphy Earlier This Week. Despite an Injury At The Pig Skin Classic The Rough & Rugged Dennison Continues To Make A Mark In The Fern Creek Optimist Club... You The Man Will, Keep It Up...
#35 Darrian Gardner "Big D"
Make No Mistake!!! Brains and brawn is a winning combination as we saw in WEEK 3 as Gardner pummeled a few guys on the offense and threw short quick passes over the Defensive Line's Heads... In review of the video the way this dude just 'slings' his opponents to the dirt wins him this spot for weekly mvp...
#1 Austin Guivas
It didn't get any better than seeing 'The G-man' chop down ball carriers in an excess of over 5 mind blowing tackles... This kid cut down runners like grass and didn't think twice in the match up against Stuart in week 3 for the American Conference!!! Guivas Blocked, tackled, and ran like a professional and his anticipation as to where the ball carrieer would be set him up smooth to launch himself like a rocket at would be scorers...
Micheal Clark
The heavy-hitting 2 year veteran Junior headed up the Nationals against the Cougars in a failed but worthy of praise game on last Sunday... Clark very talented and powerful made over 8 tackles off the line and in the backfield which saved the Juniors from a horrible blow out.
Thanks Mike for excelling in your position and leading the way!
#61 Devin Perry
When the opposing team gives you an award for the hardest hit of the game we at FCTL are going to make sure this guy gets some recognition! Devin swooped down on an opponent in week 3 and sat the kid out for a minute... see the play of the day for a recap of this action on the live rosters page August 31st or visit RealTalk and see it in the HD recap!!!
Jordan Gonzalez
Funny how we at Ferncreektigerslive were always saying "Who is Gonzalez???" But Sunday afternoon, there was little room for not recognizing the tall and lean machine! Gonzalez was handed the ball several times and came up on top of the pile many times that left us wondering how he did it... yet and still we give him an offensive MVP spot simply because of his drive and determination and those stiff arms that sent one kid crying off the field like he got beat by his momma with a belt.... Hats off to Jordan for bringing it time and time again looking down the barrel of a loss.
